How To Measure For Anklets
How to Measure Ankle Circumference
Step 1: Prepare Your Measuring Tape
Use a soft, flexible measuring tape — the kind used for sewing or body measurements.
Step 2: Sit or Stand Comfortably
Sit in a chair or stand, depending on what's more comfortable. Make sure your foot is flat on the floor and your leg is relaxed.
Step 3: Locate the Measurement Point
Find the narrowest part of your ankle — usually just above the ankle bone (medial malleolus and lateral malleolus).
Step 4: Wrap the Measuring Tape Around
Wrap the tape around your ankle at the chosen spot. Make sure the tape is snug but not tight — it should lie flat against your skin without digging in.
Step 5: Check the Position
Ensure the tape is level all the way around — not twisted or angled. If possible, use a mirror or ask someone to help double-check.
Step 6: Read the Measurement
Look at where the end of the tape meets the numbered section and read the measurement in inches.
Step 7: Record Your Measurement
Write down your ankle circumference for your records or to use for sizing jewelry.
